This study of 4,000 African adults reveals that 68% claim to have had a scam experience in the last 12 months, with scams more prevalent in Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria. More than three fifths of scams happen within a day of first being contacted by the scammer, emphasizing the rapid pace at which scams are carried out.
