About GASA
It takes a network, to beat a network

The Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA) is an international organization that brings together public and private sector stakeholders to better understand, prevent, and respond to scams. With over 100 member organizations worldwide, including leading financial institutions, technology companies, and government bodies, GASA serves as a collaborative platform for coordinated action against scams.

Scams have become a widespread global problem, affecting individuals, businesses, and economies across borders. GASA exists to support coordinated, cross-sector efforts that reduce consumer harm and strengthen collective responses to scam activity.

Our Mission

Our mission is to reduce the financial and emotional harm caused by scams worldwide through collaboration, research, and shared action.

Why we exist

Scams are no longer isolated incidents. They are a global, organised industry that exploits technology, trust, and gaps between jurisdictions.

The harm goes far beyond financial loss. Victims frequently report stress, anxiety, and a lasting loss of trust that affects how they engage online, manage their finances, and interact with digital services.

According to GASA’s Global State of Scams research, 57% of adults experienced at least one scam attempt in 12 months, and 23% lost money as a result.

While scammers operate across borders and adapt quickly, the response is often fragmented. Prevention efforts, enforcement actions, and consumer protection measures frequently operate in silos or are limited by national boundaries.

To close this gap, the Global Anti-Scam Alliance brings together research, real-world case studies, and expert insights from across sectors through its events, research initiatives and specialised working groups.
