Este estudo, realizado com 1.170 adultos brasileiros, mostra que a exposição a golpes é generalizada: 81% dos participantes foram alvo de pelo menos uma tentativa de golpe nos últimos 12 meses. Embora 42% afirmem estar confiantes em sua capacidade de reconhecer golpes, 39% interagiram com um golpista (o equivalente a 56% daqueles que foram expostos). Ao final, 10% sofreram perdas financeiras ou tiveram seus dados comprometidos, mas apenas 4% relataram o incidente às autoridades. Entre as vítimas, o impacto vai muito além dos prejuízos financeiros: 76% relataram das vítimas afirmaram que afetou seu bem-estar mental, e 34% foram alvos de mais de um golpe no último ano.
State of Scams in Brazil - 2026
This study of 1,170 Brazilian adults shows that scam exposure is widespread, with 81% of participants encountering a scam in the past year. While 42% say they are confident in recognizing scams, 39% still interacted with a scammer (56% of those exposed). Ultimately, 10% experienced financial or data loss, with only 4% reporting the incident to authorities. Among victims, the impact extends well beyond financial harm, with 76% reporting effects on their mental wellbeing and 34% experiencing repeat scams.
