New Zealand Banking Association Joins Global Anti-Scam Alliance

The Global Anti-Scam Alliance is pleased to welcome the New Zealand Banking Association (NZBA) as a Supporting Member. Representing New Zealand’s banking sector, NZBA plays a critical role in strengthening the financial sector’s response to scams in New Zealand.
As scam tactics become increasingly sophisticated and borderless, NZBA’s membership marks a step forward in global collaboration. Their commitment reflects a growing consensus among financial institutions that scam prevention must be a shared, international effort.
Roger Beaumont, Chief Executive of NZBA , said: “New Zealand’s banks are stepping up to help further protect their customers from the growing impact of scams. This is a global issue, which is why we have joined the Global Anti-Scam Alliance. Not only does effective scam prevention require a response across the scam ecosystem, it also makes sense to support anti-scam initiatives across borders where possible.”
We’re proud to work with NZBA and its members to advance scam prevention strategies, build resilience across the sector, and protect consumers from harm.
