Australian Banking Association Joins Global Anti-Scam Alliance

The Global Anti-Scam Alliance is proud to welcome the Australian Banking Association (ABA) as a Supporting Member.
The ABA represents the banking industry in Australia, advocating for policies that promote a strong, stable, and trusted financial services sector. With over 20 member banks, the ABA plays a central role in shaping industry standards, promoting financial literacy, and working to ensure the safety and security of banking services across Australia. As scams and financial crimes continue to evolve in complexity and scale, the ABA has been actively collaborating with regulators, government agencies, and industry partners to protect consumers and businesses alike.
In welcoming the ABA's membership of GASA, an ABA spokesperson said, "The ABA has long been committed to building partnerships to tackle the organised criminals who perpetuate scams across the whole ecosystem. In joining the Global Anti-Scam Alliance, the ABA is proud to help contribute to that effort at a global level."
By joining GASA, the ABA brings its extensive experience and leadership in banking security to the international fight against scams. This partnership enhances GASA’s collective expertise and strengthens our shared mission to combat financial fraud globally. We look forward to working closely with the ABA to drive meaningful change, share intelligence, and develop best practices that protect consumers worldwide.
