Opening Remarks – Day 2 | Global Anti-Scam Summit London 2025

Date of Event: 26–27 March 2025

The second day of the Global Anti-Scam Summit London 2025 began with reflections on the momentum achieved and the path forward in the global fight against scams.

Mike Haley, CEO of Cifas, highlighted the strong political and regulatory support in the UK, and urged attendees to take at least one action back to their own organisations. He praised the summit’s unique ability to bring together both innovative content and meaningful connections.

Andrei Skorobogatov from the UK Home Office spoke of the clear evolution within the anti-scam community—from discussion to action. He noted that the industry has moved beyond convincing stakeholders of the problem, and is now firmly focused on scalable solutions and progress.

Jorij Abraham, Managing Director of the Global Anti-Scam Alliance (GASA), closed the opening with a mix of humour and resolve, urging continued collaboration and reminding attendees that scammers innovate—so defenders must too.

The remarks set a powerful tone for a day dedicated to exchanging global insights, best practices, and practical tools to reduce scam impact worldwide.
