  • Global and Cross-Sector Collaboration: Emily Taylor, CEO of the DNS Research Federation, explained the platform's foundation on reducing legal and logistical barriers, promoting real-time analysis with AI, and fostering transparency through leaderboards. She noted that the GSE is hosted on Google Cloud and already operational.

  • Trust and Security: Foy Shiver, Deputy Secretary-General of APWG, shared insights from APWG’s 20+ years of data-sharing experience. He emphasized trust as the cornerstone for successful collaboration and the role of secure networks in combating fraud.

  • Early Contributions and Scale: Andrew Mantilia, Google’s Trust & Safety Enforcement Team Lead, outlined Google’s commitment as a founding partner, highlighting the initial upload of 100,000 shopping URLs and the ingestion of one million scam-related signals.

  • Scalable Solutions: Sam Traynor from Meta emphasized the importance of integrating GSE data into scaled enforcement policies to proactively tackle scammers before they engage victims.


A Call to Action

The panel concluded with an invitation for participants to join the data-sharing track for an in-depth exploration of the GSE. Panelists underscored the importance of broad participation in the GSE to enhance the collective ability to block malicious domains and strengthen platforms against vulnerabilities.
